Islanders pop warner is at a point of transition, where the current board is ready to train and hand the reigns of this organization and its long-standing traditions over to a new generation. This is a great opportunity for young parents who want to create a meaningful experience to their children and others, young people interested in coaching, mentoring, and bringing up todays youth, and folks of all ages to make our islanders community better!

Our Middletown and Newport residents deserve this non-profit organization to continue to be available to our youth football and cheer athletes. This organization is able to provide 25% of it’s participants with scholarships and financial aid and keep registration fees significantly lower than most sports teams for all participants. For many it is their first and sometimes only opportunity to participate on a team. It is where they learn the dynamics of a team, discipline required for practices, and respect for coaches and fellow teammates.

Amazingly, all of this is achieved through the work of volunteers. Everyone on the board of the program is completely uncompensated, as well as everyone on the coaching staffs. They put in many hours to make a season run smoothly. In addition, many people volunteer as team parents, and game day volunteers. It truly takes a village, and the reward is great in the impact on each individual kid who participates.
